TextMe Up is a communication app that allows users to make free phone calls and send text messages to US and Canadian numbers without using any plan minutes. The app provides a free phone number when users sign up and allows them to add as many numbers as they like, switch between them seamlessly, and manage their conversations from one inbox. Users can also make HD voice and video calls to fellow TextMe Up users and share their new phone number with friends to invite them to free calling and messaging.

In addition to free texting and calling, TextMe Up offers enhanced features such as group messaging with free texting, photo and video sharing, and fast login with Google or Facebook accounts. The app also allows users to call numbers in the US, Canada, UK, and 200 countries, and send text messages to all 200 countries using their credits. Unlike other free texting apps, TextMe Up allows users to add new local and international numbers to their account, send SMS abroad, and text for free without ever having to make a purchase.

TextMe Up offers a monthly subscription for unlimited calling and texting to US and Canada phone numbers for US$2.99 or CA$3.49. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Users can manage their subscriptions and cancel by visiting the "Subscriptions" page on Google Wallet. The app has some limitations, such as the free SMS offer being limited to US and Canada based users, and not supporting 911.
