The Video Connect feature of the Securus Mobile app allows users to enroll in Video Connect subscriptions, access and view upcoming scheduled video sessions, and sync details of upcoming video sessions with their calendar. Users can also receive notifications for upcoming video sessions and manage photos for identification. The app offers a test Wi-Fi/cellular connection to determine the quality of Video Connect. For best results and to reduce echo, users are advised to use a headset or ear buds with microphone for Video Connect. The app also offers prepaid calling account management, including AdvanceConnect and Securus Debit, and messaging services such as eMessaging and Text Connect.

The AdvanceConnect feature of the Securus Mobile app allows users to enroll and add funds to their AdvanceConnect account to always be ready for a call. Users can also select a call subscription package, see available funds, add or change phone numbers that can receive calls, view call details and transaction summary, block or unblock calls, enroll in AutoPay or TextPay, and update or change credit/debit card information. The Securus Debit feature allows users to deposit funds to their account for their contact to use for calling any number they choose, purchasing music, games and movies for their tablet, scheduling and paying for a Video Connect session, and purchasing stamps to send eMessages and eCards. The app also offers messaging services such as eMessaging and Text Connect, allowing users to send and receive messages, eCards, and photos, and transfer stamps to their contact or prepay for them to reply.
