Overrun is a post-apocalyptic zombie survival game where players must build a defense against the horde of zombies to progress to new map locations. The game allows players to equip their survivors with devastating weapons, recruit new survivors to their team, and level them up until they become the ultimate zombie slayers. To build the ultimate zombie defense, players must build their base with barricades, turrets, and traps to slow down the zombies. If the zombies manage to break through the defense, players can use repair kits to fix their base during a wave.

To survive the zombie apocalypse, players need to build an arsenal of weapons. Recruiting new survival experts brings more than their survival expertise, each survivor comes with their own weapons to kill the zombies. The apocalypse shop is always restocking so players can upgrade the weapons in their team's inventory anytime in the game. When night approaches, so do the walking dead! Players can mount their defense and survive by either watching their game play out as a simulation, or directly take control of a survivor to do some zombie shooting themselves.
