Online Check-In is a feature that allows customers to check estimated wait times for hair salons near them and get on the waitlist from wherever they are. This feature saves time by checking in to the salon ahead of time and saving the customer's place in line. Customers can also receive text alerts when their estimated wait time reaches 15 minutes as a cue to head to the salon. Online Check-In is available for all services except perms and formal updos, and it can be used from any device that has internet.

To use Online Check-In, customers need to tap the Search icon, pick a hair salon near them, tap the Check In button, enter their name and phone number, and tap Check In again to be added to the waitlist. After checking in, customers can watch their estimated wait time countdown and arrive at the salon when it's nearly their turn to get their service. Estimated wait times assume the customer is getting the next available stylist, and they do not publish stylist schedules for safety and privacy reasons.

Online Check-In is available during the hours the salon is open, except for the first five minutes a salon is scheduled to be open. Customers who are physically in the salon when it opens have a chance to be checked in and have their names added to the waitlist. Online Check-In is accepted up until 30 minutes before closing time, and customers can still get a haircut at closing time, but they cannot check in on the app. Customers can cancel their check-in at any time by tapping Cancel check-in.

If customers do not have a mobile device, they can check in from any device that has internet by going to greatclips.com, clicking on Find a Salon or Check In, and entering their postal code or address. If they do not have an internet connection, they can walk right in to any salon and add their name to the list.
