The ActiveCaptain app is a free all-in-one app that connects your compatible mobile device with Garmin chartplotters, charts, maps, and the boating community. The app allows you to wirelessly transfer and access charts and maps, software updates, routes, waypoints, and feedback from the ActiveCaptain Community. With the OnDeck hub, you can track and monitor your boat from virtually anywhere. The app is not recommended for use as a stand-alone navigational app and is intended for Garmin chartplotter owners.

The app offers several features, including ONECHART, which provides new Garmin Navionics+ and premium Garmin Navionics Vision+ cartography, advanced Auto Guidance+ technology, and a one-year subscription to daily updates. You can plan your trip or e-scout a new fishing spot before you're on the water and transfer your data to your chartplotter. The app also allows you to join a community of boaters to get up-to-date feedback on marinas, boat ramps, and other points of interest. You can control your chartplotter using the built-in Helm feature and view and control your compatible chartplotter from your smartphone or tablet.

The app also offers easy software updates, the OnDeck hub to track, monitor, and control any number of switches, the Garmin Quickdraw Community to download the latest 1' HD contour maps, and smart notifications to see calls, text messages, and more on the chartplotter display while your phone is somewhere safe and dry.
