The University of Queensland (UQ) has developed an Open Day app to enhance the Open Day experience for attendees. The app is designed to be used at UQ's St Lucia and Gatton campuses, as well as for online participants. It offers a range of features including an Open Day planner, campus map and navigation, seminar timetable, event news and FAQs, speaker information, and fun games with the opportunity to win prizes.
Before attending Open Day, users can easily register for the UQ Open Day/s they plan to attend. They can also view the seminar timetable and use the personalised Open Day planner to organize their day and ensure they don't miss any important sessions.
During Open Day, the app allows users to keep track of their seminar schedule and navigate around the campus with ease. It provides information on the locations of exciting activations, where attendees can collect freebies and find food options. Additionally, users can earn points as they move around the campus, giving them the chance to win exciting prizes.
UQ's Open Days are scheduled for Sunday, August 6th at the St Lucia campus and Sunday, August 20th at the Gatton campus. To make the most of the Open Day experience, attendees are encouraged to download the app and stay connected before and during the event.
