SymboTalk is a free app that enables people to communicate by clicking on symbols. The app has predefined communication boards from different areas of life, each board contains symbols (images). Clicking on a symbol reads it aloud and adds it to a sentence which can also be read. This way SymboTalk can be your voice and talk for you. The app is designed for those whose physical or mental condition does not allow them to speak for themselves, such as people with Autism, Asperger's or anyone on the autistic spectrum, Down Syndrome, ALS, apraxia, stroke, etc. SymboTalk is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system, designed to make communication boards for any use.
SymboTalk has many key features, including the ability to make your own symbols or choose from an online library, build flexible communication boards and sub-boards, edit boards for your users and put them in "me" mode for limited access, click on symbols to read them or download board's for hard-copy use, use your data on any device or platform and with any screen size, and sync your data online and access it from any device. The app also has many more features, such as 14 predefined boards based on ARASAAC Symbols for immediate use, translated to 23 languages, the ability to add images to symbols from your camera or files, search images for symbols from an online library with more than 60,000 images including ARASAAC, Mulberry and Sclera Symbols, record audio for symbols, and support for all languages in your android text to speech (for speak).
SymboTalk also has many other features, such as the ability to build flexible boards with many grid options, lock the screen for users who can't make their own boards, choose a color for symbols, make sub-boards, provide full offline support, group symbols into a sentence, search your boards and symbols, and use cloud services for sharing, syncing, and backing up data.
