BlueBubbles is an open-source and cross-platform ecosystem of apps that aims to bring iMessage to Android, Windows, Linux, and Web. With BlueBubbles, users can send messages, media, and much more to their friends and family. The app offers a range of features, including the ability to view tapbacks/reactions, stickers, and read/delivered timestamps. Users can also create new chats, mute or archive conversations, and choose between an iOS or Android-style interface. The app also has a robust theming engine and lots of customization and configuration options. Scheduled Messages is a feature that is coming soon.
BlueBubbles also offers Private API Features, which are not enabled by default and require extra configurations. These features include the ability to send reactions, see typing indicators, send read receipts, send subjects, and send message effects. The app also has the ability to edit and unsend messages, which are coming soon.
If users need help setting up the app, have any issues or feature requests, or just want to come hang out, they can join the BlueBubbles Discord. Overall, BlueBubbles is a useful app for those who want to use iMessage on non-Apple devices.
Note: A macOS device (virtual or physical) is required to use BlueBubbles. Users can visit the app's documentation to learn how to set up their own virtual macOS environment.
