The Barclays app allows customers who are 16 years or older and have a UK-registered mobile number, as well as a Barclays current account or Barclaycard, to register and access various banking services. To register, customers need to provide the 16-digit number from their card and follow the onscreen instructions. Some customers may need to verify their identity using PINsentry or at a Barclays cash machine. Once registered, customers can log in using a 5-digit passcode and set up Android Fingerprint for faster access in the future. The app also allows users to add their Barclays Debit card to Google Wallet for contactless payments.
The app offers several benefits to users. It provides quick and secure access through Android Fingerprint, allowing customers to manage their personal and business accounts, view their Barclays mortgage account, and manage their Barclaycard accounts. Users can also view recent transactions, check balances, transfer funds between accounts, make payments to previous recipients, and upload and store important documents securely using Barclays Cloud It. The app also provides features such as finding the nearest branch or cash machine, logging into Online Banking using Mobile PINsentry, and contacting customer services directly.
For business account holders, the app is available only to sole-signatory Barclays Business current account holders. Barclaycard business or corporate credit cards cannot be registered. The app is provided by either Barclays Bank UK PLC or Barclays Bank PLC, depending on the entity customers have contracted with for banking services. Customers should refer to their bank documents to confirm the legal entity providing their banking services. The app is subject to terms and conditions, and users must be aged 16 or over to use it.
